The Fortress of Hölgykö is situated on the top of Csiga-hill.
It was built in the end of the 13th century and was mentioned in 1321 first.
Later the fortress became the center of Bakony Forestry.
In the 14th century King Lajos the Great gave the fortress to the monks of the nearby monastery, who distroyed it and build the stones into their monastery-building.
How to get there:
From the road No.8 turn to the direction of Csehbánya and after driving above the railway, park the car. Follow the blue „L” sign and after a short walk, you’re on the spot.
The cache:
The cache is on the left rock, near to the path, at the root of a stump.
